when the clock is ticking away,

we are aging real quickly.

here i am, having conversation with Jem, he asked a question that strikes me thinking... whats the big deal with a wedding?

so yes, whats the big deal? without much hesitation, i told him this, to start a family that you eventually need to have?

the reason/ excuse that people usually use when asking about marriage, is no money. but to think about it, how much money do you need to get married? if youre talking about inviting the whole of your extended and extended family to a posh hotel for a 10 course dinner, yes, $$$ is all in the mind. but if youre talking of just a marriage for 2, i guess all you need to pay is just the registering?

BUT! back again, wedding is a lifetime event, who doesnt want to make it extravagant and memorable? :)

besides the point, we are at this conversation is because my friend, Jem, got bombarded by when is he getting married during this festive period.

HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR! :)

goodbye 2010, hello 2011!

you better be good 2011.

embarking on the 5th day of 2011, ive to say that 2010 definitely past by like rocket. but im glad that happy times > upset times. so many wonderful memories created for 2010. the best memory of 2010, the 1 month vacation to USA with moe. that was wonderful, marvelous.

Monday, November 15

seems like yesterday,

that we fall in love.

i think the wonder of google search is pretty amazing. not to say about trying to google like some medical term that we dont know and etc. but also to google names and the blog url appeared in the search engine! i always wonder who are those who actually google my name and tadah, youre right here reading my post. maybe you will want to say hi by commenting? ive got a sudden tinge about this because every time i check my counter, there will be link from google search of my name to here.

anyway besides this, ive been really good! trying to adapt to the working life as much as possible. the waking up early is really not my forte but i guess i just have to keep going on till god knows how old. but so far so good, im enjoying my work and my colleagues are nice! environment is good, everything is good! in fact, i just came back from New Orleans last Saturday for work purposes. was there for the Halloween and i would say, whoa, definitely an eye opener!

and there were so many first times ive experienced when im there;
getting pick up from the airport to the hotel by limo,
party van was our transportation to everywhere we go,
attending meeting/ conference,
experiencing the victory of Giants SF with so many fans around,
and doing voluntary work overseas.

following the latter, we were there, doing corporate social responsibility by building houses for the victim of Hurricane Katrina which happened 5 years back. its probably the most memorable day for me because i learned how to do flooring right from the start. from laying of some sheets on the ground, to tiling to even sawing the tile so that it fits in nicely, i say we did a wonderful job. there were a couple of times we chipped off the wood while laying, but behind the back of our brain, 'this is our grandma house', we took out the whole tile and lay it all out again. its just a team effort. and if time permits in Feburary, i will want to do some voluntary work again the next time i head back. :)

tell me what i can do,

to keep myself occupied, now.

man, im like trying to keep my eyes open while yawning away in this cloudy (due to haze) day. honestly, its so hazy that i could smell the smoke when i left the house. mommy got me an air purifier and i think it helps. obviously she didnt buy cause of the haze but because my room is always dusty no matter how often i clean the room. before i digress, the air purifier is good! even moe doesnt sneeze in my room anymore. hehe.

honestly, the purpose of me blogging is cause IM BORED. byebye.

Thursday, October 14

reminisce the good old days,

seems like yesterday.

i was looking through my facebook videos and were really entertained by them. and i was looking at one back in poly with my trm cohort, how i miss school (especially poly). poly life is like the best experience of my life. man.

speaking of that video, i was in short hair. and i thought to myself, why not try short hair again! so how people! should i? or should i not?

Thursday, October 7

whoa!

its been such a long time.

work has been relatively okay so far, more of like busy than anything else. having the sixth week ending soon, im slowly adapting the work hours. and all the work syndromes like monday blues, bla bla. especially when sunday ending soon, that sucks.

anyway, i'll be heading to the states end of this month for work, some site inspection for an event in feb. so mixed feelings about going. but seems like ive got no choice. looking on the bright side, what are the chances that one can get to travel having only 2 months working experience. thats the only reason that is making me feel not that bad about the long flight hours.

Monday, September 13

when is september ending?

im excited for christmas!

been working for the past 2 weeks and so far, so good. honestly, after i started working, i really appreciate TGIF and long weekends so much more. cant wait for Deepavali's arrival! and i miss my freedom days when i wake up and sleep whatever time i like. now, at about 11pm, i behave like one grumpy old woman who needs to sleep badly.

anyway, i caught going the distance with moe last thursday and i totally enjoyed the movie. it films mainly in New York and San Francisco and man, i really wish i could go back and wake up with a smile every morning then now, i wake up thinking, darn, i need to work later.

okay, i think i shouldnt take things for granted. but still...
